    ለምን ይሆን ከቶ —- የሚነሱን ጤና፣
    ሙገት የመገጥሙን —- ሆደና ህሊና።

    የዐለም ፈጥረታቶች —- ገዢ የሆነው ሰው፣
    አስተወሎ መስሪያ —- ህሊና ሲሰጥው፤
    ገና በጅምሩ —- በሆዱ ታለለና፣
    ታናሽ ሆኖ ቀረ —- ተለቁ ህሊና።

    የኽው እስከዛሬ —- ሆድ ባመጣው ጣጣ፣
    ይኖራል የሰው ለጅ —- ከችግር ሳይወጣ፤
    ታላቅ ቡርኩናውን —- ለታናሹ ሸጦ፣
    አስተውይ ህሊና — በሆድ ተለወጦ።

    እርገማን ሆኖብን —- ከአዳም የወረደ፣
    በሰው ዘረያ ላይ —- እሳቱ ነደደ፤
    ዳኛ በሌለብት —- እየተማዋገቱ፣
    ሁድ አና ህሊና —- ስንቱን ሰው አሳቱ።

    የማይቀርው መንገድ —- ያ ጉዞ ሳይመጣ፣
    ከሆ መቆራኘት —- ምን አለብት ብንወጣ፤
    እንደ ብዐሲት ሎጥ —- ድኒ ሳይወርደበን፣
    ለህሊና ኖረን —- ምናለ ብንድን።

Nechisar National Park

The Simien Mountain Park 

Massive erosion over the years on the Ethiopian plateau has created one of the most spectacular landscapes in the world, with jagged mountain peaks, deep valleys and sharp precipices dropping some 1,500 m. The park is home to some extremely rare animals such as the Gelada baboon, the Simien fox and the Walia ibex, a goat found nowhere else in the world.

Awash National Park

Spanning across the southern tip of the Afar Region and the northeastern corner of the Misraq Shewa Zone of Oromia, Awash National Park is 225 kilometers east of Addis Ababa(and a few kilometers west of Awash), with its southern boundary along the Awash River, and covers 756 square kilometers of acacia woodland and grassland. The Addis Ababa – Dire Dawa highway passes through this park, separating the Illala Saha Plains to the south from the Kudu Valley to the north. In the south of the park, the Awash River gorge has amazing waterfalls. In the upper Kudu Valley at Filwoha are hot springs amid groves of palm trees.

Chebera Churchura National Park

Chebera Churchura National Park(CCNP) is found on the western side of the central Omo-Gibe basin, in between Dawro zone and Konta Special Woreda of the Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples Regional State of Ethiopia.  The Omo River provides the boundary between the south and the West. The natural vegetation of the park is diverse. There are montane forests in the eastern and northwestern highlands, riparian forests along the rivers, and woodland vegetation is found in the southern part of the Park. Grass- and scrubland cover the largest part of the Park. 

Alatish National Park

Alatish National Park was established in 2006. The general topography of the park is flat to undulating plains, with a general slope or inclination from the south to the north, interrupted by valleys, streams, scattered hills, and seasonal wetlands. Elevation ranges from 520m to 920m above sea level. It is located 970 km north of Addis Abeba, in QuaraWereda, North Gondar Zone, Amhara Regional State.

Gambella National park

Beyond the mountains in the far west of Ethiopia is one of the country’s lesser-known treasures, Gambella National park. It is the home of the second largest migration of antelope in Africa. The white-eared kob crosses the border from South Sudan to the wetlands of Gambella during the dry season and the other way around for the wet season. It’s five thousand square kilometers of wilderness landscape, that theme with wildlife. In the long run, properly managed Gambella National park could be a major national asset to Ethiopia.

Babille Elephant Sanctuary

Babille Elephant Sanctuary also known as the Harar Wildlife Sanctuary is a protected area in Harari Zone of Eastern Ethiopia. Encompassing 6,982 km2 (2,696 sq mi), the sanctuary embraces the valleys of the Erer, Daketa, and Fafen as well as the Gobele and Borale rivers; all are tributaries of the Shabelle River. The Sanctuary was originally gazetted protect a supposed elephant sub-species, Loxodonta africana oleansie, but recent DNA tests showed that it is the regular African Elephant. Nonetheless, it is the most Northeastern population Elephant populations and with about 400 animals the largest and most visible herd of the about 1000 animals remaining in Ethiopia and the population has been slowly increasing over the last decade.

Mago National Park

Mago National Park is located in the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples Region about 782 kilometers south of Addis Ababa and north of a large 90° bend in the Omo River. The landscape consists of reverie forest, wetlands along the lower Mago River and around Lake Dipa. Also there are mountainous areas with great views over the bush savanna. Mago National Park which is an extremely isolated place is situated eastern shores of river Omo. The park stretches over of 2,162 sq km of land and its landscape is dotted with thick acacia shrubs, Ethiopian deserts and rising and falling grasslands. Its possession of a rich wildlife population is credited for its presenting the best wildlife scenery in the whole of Ethiopia.

Yabello National Park

Yabello National Park lies 565 Km south of Addis Ababa on the Awasa-Moyale highway. It is 10km east of Yabello town in Borena Zone, Oromia Regional State. A trip to Yabelo National Park is nothing like the experience in zoos, rather it’s a trip which takes the traveler deep into the wildlife in its natural habitat. The park screeches over an area of 2,500 square kilometers. It is home to endemic Swayne‟s Hartebeest, Bush Crow and White-tailed Swallow, Ostrich and over 210 species of birds. Zebra, Gazelle and Guenther’s Dik-Dik are quite common.

The Bale Mountains

The Bale Mountains National Park is located southeast of Ethiopia’s capital, Addis Ababa in Oromia Regional State of south-eastern Ethiopia. It belongs to the Bale-Arsi massif, which forms the western section of the south-eastern Ethiopian highlands.This magnificent mountain is high altitude plateau with numerous dramatic volcanic plugs, seasonal tiny alpine lakes, and cascading mountain streams. It was established 1970 during Emperor Haileslese. The Bale Mountains National Park is a protected area of approximately 2,200 square kilometers.

 

 Abijitta-Shalla National Park

Abijatta-Shalla National Park is one of the oldest Parks in Ethiopia. It is located 200 kilometers south of Addis Ababa. Abijatta is founded in 1963, in Central Ethiopian Highlands of Oromia Region. The 887 square kilometers park revolves largely around the stunning alkaline lakes Abijatta and Shalla, which act as a migratory home for vibrant and diverse bird life. The two lakes are separated by three kilometers of hilly land.

Yangudi Rassa National Park

Yangudi Rassa National Park is located in the northeastern part of the country. The headquarter is situated in Gewane, Afar region, some 365km from Addis Ababa on Djibouti road. The altitude of the park ranges between 400-1460m asl. its 4730 square kilometers of territory include Mount Yangudi near the southern border. Sandy semi-desert and wooded grassland cover the majority of the park’s area.

Omo National Park 

Omo National Park is one of the largest and biologically rich National Parks in Ethiopia which is found in Southern Nations and Nationalities of Ethiopia & located about 870 Km southwest of Addis Ababa. It is located on the west bank of the Omo River and was established as a national park in 1966. The park has approximately 2,527 square miles of vegetation and wildlife. Although an airstrip was recently built near the park headquarters on the Mui River, this park is not easily reachable; the Lonely Planet guide to Ethiopia and describes Omo National Park as “Ethiopia’s most remote park.”
